He came to launch the album of a new musicians’ association.
Metropolitan Bamenda offered the nation’s musicians a rare moment on January 10, 2015, to celebrate music and inspire young musicians to emerge in integrity.
The event was the launch of the Association of Cameroon Female and Male Musicians of Integrity (ACAFEEMI). The event equally saw the launch of the association’s maiden musical album with 27 hits produced by the 26 artistes.
It was all about the way forward for musicians who have stated their preparedness to set records straight by putting the nation’s artistes on the path of virtues and values that take Cameroon forward in integrity.
Around to share his 32-year-old experience with young musicians was ACAFEEMI’s Honorary President, Ndedi Eyango, who lamented the conflicts and confrontations that rock Cameroon’s music with musicians often at each other’s necks.
Ndedi Eyango saluted the birth of ACAFEEMI, which according to him, is expected to check distractions by artistes and encourage hard work.
He challenged musicians to rise to expectations and use music to change society, raise kids and unite Cameroon. In the short and long of it; Ndedi Eyango inspires hope for the association with his long experience to share.
It is against this backdrop that the National President of ACAFEEMI, Adeline Mbenkum, said Ndedi Eyango and others who are role models for the association in developing entrepreneurial skills and progress in ethical values and probity, summed up in integrity. Adeline Mbenkum said ACAFEEMMI has a vision which can become a mission to instill sanity in the music sector as the foundation of joyous life.
ACAFEEMMI has lessons for musicians to avoid, not to compromise values. It took some five months for the association’s musicians to sacrifice and turn full circle in the production of their first 26-hit album. The association is poised to give Cameroon’s music a new impetus.
Musical festivals are scheduled across the country, including Bakassi, where the artistes are expected to sing for the nation, peace and the development of Cameroon.
