OTHNI-Laboratoire de théâtre de Yaoundé celebrates 5th anniversary

OTHNI-Laboratoire de théâtre de Yaoundé is set to celebrate its 5th anniversary with a weeklong activity from March 18 to March 25 2015.

Since March 2010, the center which became a model for experimentation and exploration of various forms of contemporary art has also made a good grounding in the broadcast field.

Programming this fifth anniversary, there will be a weeklong of arts activities including: theater, storytelling, dance, music, visual arts, literature, and body painting, just to mention a few. The Congolese playwright, Dieudonné Niangouna will host a theater workshop from March 16 to 23, 2015.

Artists from several disciplines will be involved in conferences and other professional meetings. About thirty artists from around the world associated with local artists have decided to present to the public, an exceptional range of their creations. As a, laboratory, resource center, research center, place of experimentation, the laboratory also offers a residential space for artists and other research students.

On the occasion of this anniversary, Othni - Lab opens its den / bar to used for trade purposes. Many artistes are set to participate in this historic event: the German curator Martin Baash the Congolese playwright Dieudonné Niangouna, the plastic / Set Designer Alioum Moussa, Jean-Michel Dissakè Landry Mbassi, Junior Esseba, Pelagie Alima, Wilfried Mwenye, Jean-Claude Awono François Alima, François Bingono Bingono and many others.

The OTHNI-Laboratoire de théâtre de Yaoundé 5th anniversary event will be an opportunity to discover new projects, in order to develop a research program of interdisciplinary experimentation around Contemporary and research or dissemination art.

Meanwhile the OTHNI-Laboratoire shop offers a range of gifts and allows everyone to do or to create a gift.
