Nigerian-based Cameroonian TV personality, Krysten Enam, has blasted Cameroonian celebrities on their "non-support" for one another.
According to her, the few likes on Facebook and other social media should not get into their heads because it does not necessarily bring fame.
Krysten Enem instead advised that such "so-called" celebrities should work extra hard and also make themselves available for interviews by bloggers and other media outlets since it helps build their brand.
The bubbly presenter said Cameroon artistes should learn from their Nigerian colleagues who, she said, "understand the show business and use the media to their advantage.
As usual, she was blasted by some people who referred to her "rant" as a way of "cheap popularity" on her side. Some, on the other hand, supported her and added that Cameroonian artistes should "learn the act of supporting" and help grow their brands.

Dear Camer 'Talents' aka Facebook celebrities aka 'I have the highest likes on Facebook' aka 'Facebook sensation' aka 'Social media stars' aka whatever other stupid name you call yourselves. Listen guys, you need to look at the bigger picture.
Today, Kelly Blaise put up a post I'll call ignorant and baseless (oh well! Don't they all do that? Rant on Facebook) He accused people of not supporting Camer talent bla bla bla.... Well, firstly, I must say that is a baseless accusation given that my Cameroonian brothers and sisters do not even have an idea what they are doing as regards building a brand.
Hey! '237 Celebrities', it doesn't end on Facebook. Those 'likes' you buy and posts you tag people on, are not going to take you anywhere. On your Facebook, everybody on there is your family or friend or classmate, schoolmate or something. I bet that 90% know you personally. You do not have FANS on Facebook. So when you have 300 likes, stop feeling that you have arrived. Find a manager or a publicist or consult a strategist (Kathleen Ndogmo, Don Julio, Yefon Mainsa, yes! I am nice like that to give you free advice to grow your brand) to help you build a proper career.
Put in the work. STOP ranting. Nobody really cares about your rants. Build your brand. Seize the opportunities. Seize every opportunity available to you. Knock doors. Talk to people. Learn to walk before you run. If a blogger approaches you for an interview, GRANT IT. Bandy Kiki and Hotjems have endlessly told their stories of how you 'celebs' lol keep them on hold or ignore them when they approach you for interviews. Your role models Davido, Wizkid and co, grant interviews till tomorrow.
I just booked Wizkid for an interview for The Krystn Enem Show, so shut up and grow. Camer 'celebs' please GRANT interviews. That is one major way to blow up your brand. In fact, approach these bloggers, ask, beg, plead for the interviews, they make you. Time will come when we will run after you for interviews but until then shut up your cranky fingers and get your asses to work. You are not doing the blogger or interviewer a favour, you are helping yourself.
Take advantage of available platforms. I rolled out a radio show (Soul Sunday now called ChatterBox with Krys on www.wfm917.com) a few weeks ago, I put up on my page an ad calling on 'Camer talents' to come onboard. Not even a soul reached out. Well, I do not blame you for not reaching out. Maybe, just maybe you guys are thinking that I'm reaching out because I need content for my show.
Well, if that be the case, then you forget that I live in Nigeria, in Lagos. You should know that I have tons of Nigerians reaching out to me for a few minutes on radio. Nigerians understand the business, they understand the essence of growing a brand. They understand that every publicity is good. That is why I duff my hat for Dencia, girl knows her sh** She makes you rant and she gets the publicity and the doe. While your flippant fingers are insulting her, she's building her empire every step of the way. That is what you Camer stars should learn. KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE KNOW, RESEARCH, ASK QUESTIONS, JUMP ON THE MOVING TRAIN, KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS.
Again please I support true talent. That is my vision. But if you think you are a celeb, it is for your friends and family biko. And if you cannot support me because of course I am an upcoming brand as well, do not expect me to support you. (Example. This 'biggest Camer actress last year when Krystn Enem Show launched on Africa Magic, she contacted me on Facebook, we got talking. She didn't show support by even posting once about my show even though I personally solicited her support. Well barely 2 weeks later and she had her own project and she boldly text me to post her stuff on Facebook, Instagram and twitter. Lol seriously??? Well, so it will be like I'm the famzer abi? Lol. Anyway... Morale of this story is we need to support one another and help ourselves grow... No Cameroonian has attained Genevieve Nnaji status, so y'all chill and GET TO WORK.
