The Olympics opening ceremony kicks off weeks of sporting triumphs, but if you’re more interested in fashion and pageantry, the Parade of Nations is the highlight of your Games.

Above all countries during the opening ceremony showcased a variety of fashion fused with the cultural representation of their countries.

The walkabout for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night gave us teams from 205 countries, all filing into Maracanã Stadium following their flag bearer.

With particular attention to the continent of Africa, we selected the top 5 best dresses countries whose outfit blew the minds of the spectators.
