The Franco- Cameroonian photographer Samuel Nja Kwa lives and works between France, the Caribbean, the United States and Africa. Even though he studied political science at the University of Quebec, Montreal he decided to venture into journalism, specializing in African cultures.
Over the years, as a journalist and photographer, his interest lies in cultural and artistic life. Samuel also does freelance jobs for Panapress, Slab, Miss Ebony, Elle, Télérama, Revue Noire, Africultures, Creola and Jeune Afrique.
Gradually, he’s the photographer that illustrates his passion during meetings he engages in along the way. That is during concerts, festivals, tours and walks lived between Africa, the United States and Europe.
His reports made it worldwide, in addition to his diverse work experience, having earned him a huge catalog of memories in pictures. The latter materialized in early 2014 with a new book of photographs of the African and world music legends. The masterpiece so proudly carries the name Route du Jazz.
In 2011, Samuel Nja Kwa had already published a book entitled “Minorité Visible Cinéma Invisible", supported by the cinema division of the French Institute. This work will be presented in African and Caribbean film festivals worldwide.
For 15 years, the photographer also took part in numerous exhibitions both individual and group in Europe, Canada and Africa. The most recent are those held in Ifc Yaoundé and Douala Boj.
