Three Cameroonian culture icons distinguished by France

Three Cameroonian artists received Thursday, January 29, 2015, in Yaounde, in the name France, badges of Knight of arts and letters.

They include actor and director Ambroise Mbia, the scenario writer Bassek Ba Kobhio and the painter Barthélémy Toguo, the artists who have jointly carried out works of international significance while remaining attached to their territory.

The three personalities were decorated at the France Embassy in Cameroun by Christine Robichon, the ambassadress. The ceremony saw the presence of the Cameroonian Minister of Arts and Culture, Ama Tutu Muna, minister Work and Social security, Gregoire Owona and of the Secretary-general of the Services of the Prime Minister, Louis-Paul Motaze.
