The artiste from Bamenda (North-West) joined Cameroon in the African music scene by winning the award of best African collaboration at the prestigious All Africa Music Awards. The opus which earned him this distinction is "Cocoa na Chocolate", released with Fally Ipupa and Tiken Jah Fakoly and co-produced with D banj (Nigeria).

Wax Dey remembered his clicks and is pleased to have dared: I had an idea to make a number of songs with African artistes a few months ago. We gathered with Tiken Jah Fakoly, Dbanj, Fally Ipupa and other artists to make the song ‘cocoa na Chocolate’, that I produced with D'banj. It was a big tune across the continent, and it was nominated for the All African Music Awards in the category of best African collaboration. It is an honour for me and for Cameroon because I was at the origin of the song, I'm proud.

Beyond this collective distinction, the young Cameroonian artiste intends to draw a single furrow. To get there, he just committed a maxi single: "I am launching my new maxi single: Makossa. It is a very danceable hot tune. I am confident that in 2015 it will be the song of the country".

Propelled to the front of the stage by music, Wax Dey especially revealed to the public under the cap of facilitator. He served on the Channel Africa Magic in South Africa. Steeped in talent, Wax Dey launched in 2013 'Number One Girl', a reality TV programme aimed at "valuing the Cameroonian music, highlight the clips and to know that all players in the music business have something to gain. The approach of this unique and innovative programme is aimed to serve as support for the launch of the album of the artiste.
