Xcellente is gearing up to drop another bombshell as he plans to release his sophomore single off his impending album titled “Hustler from Bamenda”.
Not long since the Nigerian Lagos-based Cameroonian Afro-pop star officially signed to Achievas Entertainment alongside Nigerian fast-rising artist Solidstar, he seems to be making wave already.
After launching his music career in Bamenda and later travelling to Nigeria for a worthwhile exploratory survey of the big industry, which paid off. Chinepoh Excel alias Xcellente first released an Afrobeat sensation which fuses Coupe Decale and pop in ‘MUTINA’. He later on releases “Jalaa” featuring label-mate Solidstar.
Xcellent is well known for his roots and originality. Unlike some Cameroonian music stars, Xcellente is a veritable ambassador who doesn’t deny his roots to receive stale cake and cream from the Naija industry. He blends his music with makossa giving his tracks a groovy up-tempo.
He released his debut studio album “Someday e go better” in 2008 and won the Northwest Region of Cameroon Most Promising Artist of the year award. He also featured in ”Christmas Time in Africa” alongside Baam, Bright Phase, Achalle and others .
