Museba, the Ivoiro-Congolese musician, presented her maiden single, 'Bom Bom Bom' at a press conference in Yaounde on May 6, 2013.

After conquering the Ivorian public with her maiden single, 'Bom Bom Bom', the Ivoiro-Congolese musician, Museba is on an operation of charm to seduce the Cameroonian public. She granted a press conference in Yaounde on Monday not only to present the single but also make her self known to the public.

Quizzed on why she opted for a press conference instead of performances, Andrea Museba said her priority for now was to make herself known and that the performances will come up later. Reason why she opted for a single and not an album since her target is not sales but popularity and that she envisages long term gain.

The self made versatile artiste who sings in pidgin, English and French says the single dwells on the declarations of a girl in love and 'Bom Bom Bom' refers to the beating of the heart of that girl in love. Museba who is also a painter, communicator and publicity agent, said her idol in music is Bob Marley though she admires artistes like Richard Bona, Macase, Les Garagistes.

She says her lyrics are inspired by everyday life and societal events. At the on set she was militant and violent over the oppression of her people but today she is more moderated in her approach dishing out positive messages. From her humble beginnings in afro-jazz and afro-house with the release of an album, 'Nayo slowly' Museba has evolved to afro pop which she says is going to be the main stay of her music as will be discovered in subsequent albums. She says she want to bring about "a musical revolution in Cameroon and shake things up."

Though a budding star, Museba has a series of performances to her credit. She performed at the 'Kim Kardashian Night' in Abidjan, the Gold and Diamond Night still in Cote d'Ivoire. She has also featured in shows like the Festival of urban colours, Music feast and multi art show alongside renowned musicians like Richard bona and Charlotte Dipanda. She is engaged in the fight against malaria and the disarmament of child-soldiers on the continent.
