The artiste who sings in Fulfulde language denounces favoritism in his six-track audio album.

A Cameroonian-born artiste, Modibo Ndjina from the North Region, has released his maiden album, "Il a fallu du temps". The album whose six songs are exclusively sung in the Fulfulde language of the North Region of Cameroon, is rich in African traditional drumming.

After a 25-year musical career in Cameroon, South and Central Africa, Modibo Ndjina decided to release his album which he uses to talk about happenings in the society. The six tracks each carry specific messages. In the first track, "Mi handa", which means "I do not know", the artiste is singing about social inequality and realities of life. He uses the third track, "Gorgi", to thank all persons who helped him in the production of the album.

Lack of producers, he says, and difficulty in making right contacts, could be blamed for the late release of the album. The album also contains other tracks such as "Tourmiyeh," "Mi yedji tita", "Allah walu ledi man" and "Sahirma dunia." By real name Jean Bosco Ndjina, the artiste began as a dancer, and then became a singer of other artistes' songs as he entertained visitors to the North Region of Cameroon.

According to the artiste, he faced so many challenges before releasing the maiden album which though not yet in the market, can be acquired from him at FCFA 2,000.
