2bn CFAF set as budget for Obstetrics-Gynecology in Douala hospital

The Douala Hospital Board meeting held recently saw the successful recruitment and appointment of staff to certain positions of responsibility. The meeting which took place on March 12, 2015 marks the memorable day on which the hospital received its first leaders.

Created by the Presidential Decree No. 2014/023 of January 23, 2014, obstetrics-gynecology and pediatric hospital in Douala will host its first patients in the coming days. After installation, the members of the Board of Directors voted 2015 budget balanced as revenue and expenditure at 2 billion 477 million CFA.

According to Pr Emile Télesphore Mboudou, Director General of the hospital institution, "the adopted budget will allow the hospital to actually start its activities and meet expectations of patients".

For the President of the Board of Directors, Mme Epée, née Kotto Mouyema Honorée Denise, "la Cité hospitalière de Douala", is intended to be one of the best hospitals on the continent, if the BOD's stick to its high investment level.
