Chantal Biya Foundation:Cardiac centre for children underway

A gala dubbed “a heart for all” has been organized in Geneva, Switzerland to raise funds towards the construction of a cardiac centre at the Chantal Biya Foundation.

The centre is expected to conduct open-heart surgery in children suffering from heart disorders.

During the event, the chief organiser Professor Kalangos, appealed to the over 600 invitees to support this Chantal Biya’s laudable initiative.

Professor Kalangos who is a partner of the Chantal Biya Foundation saluted the management of the centre which he visited in January 2013.

The Secretary General of the Foundation, Mrs. Habisou Bidoung who represented the First Lady in the gala presented gifts to some illustrious personalities present at the event.

The occasion was highlighted by an auction sale of African paintings.

Cameroonian-born artist, Yannick Noah animated the evening.

First Lady Chantal Biya it should be recalled, made a similar visit to Geneva in 2005 to appeal for aid in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
