The people of the West Region are third to benefit from a one-month dental sensitisation campaign launched by the National Association for Dental Surgeons.
The campaign which begins today 28th October 2014 in Bafoussam, is aimed at sensitizing the population on the dangers of poor dental care under the theme: “Together let's attain zero cavities.”
During the campaign which mostly targets children, there will be free consultation, awareness messages, teeth-brushing tips and the distribution of free tooth brushes and tooth paste.
Meanwhile, dental experts will patrol some schools, markets, and neighbourhoods with their caravans.
The population will also be given health tips such as how and when to brush the teeth and the importance of changing tooth brushes after three months.
The event is part of the one-month dental sensitization campaign that took place in Douala from 15 to 20th October 2014 and moved on to Yaounde from 21st to 26th October 2014.
The campaign is scheduled to run in Bafoussam till 31st October 2014.
