Fighting Zika virus: Cameroon braces up to pre-empt invasion

The Minister of Public Health, Andre Mama Fouda, will meet with health officials in the country this 4th February 2016 to discuss measures against the Zika virus which is ravaging some parts of the world.

The Zika virus according to medical officials is carried by mosquitoes and transmitted through their bites though a post this 3rd January 2016 on www.bbc.com indicates that a recent case of the virus transmitted through sexual intercourse has been identified in the U.S.A.

The virus could cause babies to be born with unusual heads and underdeveloped brains.
