Garoua: Public Health Minister on a fact-finding mission

The Minister of Public Health, Andre Mama Fouda, has ended a working visit in Garoua. The visit was continuation of an official visit that started in Maroua.

The visit to the Garoua Regional Hospital enabled the Public Health boss to assess the quality of services offered and access to health care of the population in the North regional capital.

During a meeting with the hospital management and other stakeholders of the health sector, the Minister was updated with the difficulties faced especially during periods of epidemics.

He took note of the lack of an adequate health platform necessary to anticipate an outbreak of epidemics and deal with cases of emergency.

Minister Andre Mama Fouda called on the hospital management to elaborate an emergency sanitary plan for the hospital to improve its capacity to render quality services in cases of emergency.
