Physiotherapists Want Better Status

The Cameroon Society of Physiotherapists held its fifth Ordinary Board meeting in Yaounde on Saturday November 30, 2013.

Speaking at the occasion, the Board Chair, Daniel Tecky Tcheuffa said the wish of the association is to have a national Order of Physiotherapists in Cameroon. On his part, the Director of Healthcare Organisation and Health Technology in the Ministry of Public Health, Professor Arthur Essomba, reaffirmed government's availability in assisting the process for the creation of a national order for physiotherapists as well as bring adequate solutions to other problems facing the profession.

The objective of the meeting was for the members to exchange ideas and seek ways of harmonising the practice of physiotherapy in Cameroon.
