In a recent letter to Aminatou Ahidjo, President of the Board of Directors of the Yaounde Congress Hall, her two cousins, authors of the letter suggest the imminent creation of a party in this area on behalf of the Ahidjo Family.

Will there be a party in Northern Cameroon for the followers of Ahidjo? Who is behind this new announced political organ? “Asked Le Messager of Thursday, July 14, 2016. Indeed, Mamma Doubou and Fanta Moussa, two cousins of Aminatou Ahidjo, sent her an inflammatory letter in which they resented her alliance with the CPDM.

A situation that seems to have germinated the idea of creating a political party which campaigns for the name of the Ahidjo family.

According to the newspaper, it is Germaine Ahidjo Habiba, wife of the late President Ahidjo, who is asked to be the patron of this future political movement.

Unfortunately, the difficulty in the existence of such a political fragment is that the North has had in the past a nationwide political party. This is among other things, the paper recalls, the National Union for Democratic Progress (UNDP) of Bello Bouba Maigari.

The orientation of the party announced in the Far North are hand-like the past, the newspaper said. Especially when we know that, of the 300 political parties present on the scene, very few can demonstrate a visible presence through a seat, clear organization, and a program of daily activities.

Is Ahidjo still giving hopes again after thirty years? Who is to lead the Ahidjo party announced? We will have to wait before having an idea of this party that dares not speak its name, at least for now.
