Unlike in the past years where militants of the CPDM in Fako I normally end their celebration by addressing a motion of support to the President and National Chairman of the CPDM, this year it was different.

The Section president of Fako I, Motanga Andrew Monjimba, before speaking to his militants, released 32 helium gas filled balloons of the three colours of the national flag into the sky as a gift to the chief celebrant, HE President Paul Biya.

According to members of the organising committees, these balloons which went high up into the sky was sent to the Unity Palace where a greater celebration was taking place.

“We are celebrating 32 years in power of president Paul Biya and we are certain that the 32 balloons sent would be in Etoudi by the time we end the celebrations” Motanga told the press.

The happy Section President expressed satisfaction with the turnout of the militants saying it was an indication that they are aware of what the Head State has done to Limbe and the nation in general.

Speaking to the press shortly after the celebrations, he said his message to the militants was clear; “in disorder, we cannot construct and develop, there is every reason for us to be disciplined and with that every thing will move including unity which is the perquisite for meaningful development.”

He added that Limbe is celebrating like any other city in the country; “If you want us to preside, you will bare with me that the list is very long and we have every reason to celebrate with his Excellency President Paul Biya” He said.

Speaking earlier, the Vice Section President of the Women’s wing of the party, Eposi Luma Christiana Janjo explained that since November 6, 1982, President Paul Biya has handled the mantle of the country so deligently, moving from one step to the other in the economic, political, social and cultural development of our country.

She added that President Paul Biya has been identified with peace, social dialogue, hero in democracy and above all a very determined leader by all measures.

As a female leader, Comrade Christiana Janjo recognised the advancement of gender issues in Cameroon especially as seen during the recent Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference in Yaounde whose organising committee was chired by Honourable Emilia Lifaka.

Meanwhile the Vice Youth President of the Party, John Eselle Ngale, commenced on a sorrowful note remembering the passing away of Itoe Victor Kanal, sub section president of Central IV, Mayor Isaac Inongo Dalle, who was section President of YCPDM for Fako I and Mbonda Stephen Motia who was YCPDM President National.

He continued that 32 years of President Biya’s tenure at the presidency of the republic has been one pregnant with innovations for a better Cameroon. President John Ngalle said institutions of learning in several dimensions, professional training, health facilities and socio- economic development are the fallouts of President Paul Biya’s administration for the interest of the youths.

Central Committee member and Senator join in Also speaking during the celebrations the Central Committee member for Fako I, comrade Essebou Mokate, advised the militants to avoid gossips that will not help the party.

Mokate said the CPDM Secretariat should be a place for party militants to relax and discuss the promotion of the party and not a place where a few militants sit and gossip.

Meanwhile Senator Matute Daniel Lyonga said he really has nothing much to tell the militants. He said all militants must come on board to make the party stronger than it is now.

The celebrations took place under the patronage of the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako Zang III and was attended by the General Manager of SONARA Mr. Ibrahim Talba Malla who also doubles as the National Organising Secretary of the CPDM.
