Prof. Peter Agbor Tabi, head of the divisional campaign team was given a warm reception.

The Manyu Divisional Campaign team of the ruling Cameroon's People Democratic Movement (CPDM) headed by Professor Peter Agbor Tabi carried campaign drums to Akwaya towards weekend, one of the four Subdivisions of Manyu, to canvas for votes come 30 September twin legislative and municipal elections.

The CPDM's strategy to rationally occupy the terrain on many fronts produced meetings in all the four Subdivisions of Manyu simultaneously during the weekend. Mamfe Central witnessed a big crowd of supporters and sympathizers of CPDM at the community hall. Meanwhile, the untiring Professor Agbor Tabi returned from Akwaya and shot to Eyumujock via Mamfe on Saturday, September 21, 2013.

Speaking to CPDM supporters and sympathisers in Akwaya, Agbor Tabi pointed to the ruling Party's socio-economic achievements in Manyu in general and hinted that more was in the pipe line. He assured the Akwaya people that government was bent on having a lasting solution for their enclave situation which had only been aggravated by the numerous rivers on the direct lane from Mamfe.

To curb travelling difficulties in Akwaya, government has recently opened the Bawuru road from Menchum (North West) while studies are underway to keep road nightmares a past memory. The chief campaigner for Manyu presented the three parliamentary candidates for Manyu including Akwaya's son and traditional ruler, Chief Ukpam Igelle Terhemen. The other two candidates are Nsosie Susana Ebah from Eyumujock and Enow Tanjong from Upper Bayang.

Professor Agbor Tabi prescribed door-to-door campaigns saying that potential voters would be visited in their homes, farms and in the streets. To him, the good work of the previous mandates will facilitate the campaigns.
