The organizers of the March in support for the president of the Republic towards the celebration of the 32nd anniversary asked the administrative authority not to interfere in their political affairs.
To express their support to the President of the Republic under the 32nd anniversary of his regime, Thursday 6 November 2014, CPDM activists of Bare Bakem defied a ban prposed by the sub-prefect of the town. The administrative authority, Prosper Abah Abah took this decision due to political tensions that have shaken this small town located in the Department of Mungo.
Martin Tchamba, former Mayor of the town, was very angry after he learned of this protest thus the influence these protesters to defy the orders of their leader. "We used to celebrate at Bare. We start the walk at Bare and we finish at Bare.
Today, for the first time that the people will be mobilized, I was surprised that the walk was prohibited. "Really, I am sorry and I am surprised," he lashed out at the former municipal judge among colleagues of Radio Equinoxe.
Activists did not appreciate the fact that they were asked to go and demonstrate in Melong, a nearby district.
The activists asked the deputy warden not to interfer in their political affairs. "The sub-prefect is an administrator, and should not meddle in our affairs, it is necessary that he leaves us", warned Martin Tchamba.
