Young people from CPDM party marched with a giant portrait of the deceased Françoise Foning. During their march, emotion beset the public and onlookers who could not hold back their tears.
Jacob Kiari, 3rd Assistant of the defunct Mayor of Douala 5th and Chairman of the CPDM Wouri 5 section explains this action, "we are what we are politically thanks to Madam Foning. She practically gave us everyting. She had to be with us this morning. Because everything that you see here, is the result of the instructions she gave before her death".
Tribute to Françoise Foning continues in the Besseke Valley, the new square which housed the official parades of Douala.
CPDM Youth section in Wouri 5 aggregated at a place called "Axe Lourd Bépanda " the place where she used to take her militants to. There, they sang ritual songs, slogans and speeches in honour of their "mother" Françoise Foning.
