The North West Social Democratic Front (SDF) elective conference ended on August 24, in Bamenda with supporters acclaiming National Chairman, Fru Ndi as their flag bearer during the National elective convention scheduled for the city in October, 2012. In effect, the conference set the tone for the convention with Chairman Fru Ndi mobilising supporters and the newly elected North West Provincial team to work round the clock in a show of strength as a Region and people who know and deserve leadership. Talking to Cameroon Tribune after the conference, the newly elected SDF Provincial Chairman, Hon Njong Evaristus said party supporters have resolved to re-dedicate efforts to serve Cameroonians by working to win all the Councils and Parliamentary seats in the North West in imminent Council and Legislative elections. He stated the preparedness of the party to register massively ahead of the elections, intensify political education at the base and create a solid data base for the SDF. Hon Njong said the Region will sponsor competent candidates at the party's October Convention to be able to win positions and continue to influence policy. Meanwhile, commissioning newly elected Provincial executive members on August 24, 2012, Fru Ndi stressed that they were elected to work with him and not to fight him. It was on the eve of the SDF National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of August 25, which fine tuned preparations towards the 8th Convention of the party on October 12, 13 and 14, 2012.
