CPDM militants of the West Coast Municipality have expressed gratitude and satisfaction with the manner in which the Head of State Paul Biya has been handling the affairs of the State, especially in combating insecurity and the dreaded Ebola epidemic.
The Fako militants massively converged on the premises of the Fire Burn club in Idenau on Thursday, November 6, to join their comrades within and out of the country to celebrate the 32 anniversary of their party national chairman, at the helm of the nation, under the theme, Together we fight insecurity.
The various speakers during the ceremony had one common statement, the fact that, the benefits of the Biya regime is enormous, thus all cannot be listed in the course of the celebration.
Beginning the proceedings, a welcome address was presented by the host sub-section president of Kinge, Teke Augustine, during which he stated that there is no doubt that the Biya's regime has made life easier for Cameroonians and also inhabitants of the municipality, through the construction of a sub-divisional hospital, the absence of CRTV signals, the absence of science laboratory in schools within the municipality, pipe-borne water, electricity and even party materials remain a necessity in the municipality.
The next speaker, YCPDM president, Peter Mokoko, presented President Biya as a man who keeps to his words, citing his policies of rigour and great ambitions, greater realisation and vision 2035.
He also mentioned the construction of a multipurpose stadium in Limbe, other giant projects in the country, efforts to fight Boko Haram and Ebola as blessings coming from the Biya regime, but like the previous speaker, beckoned on the need for the effective take-off of the cement factory and fertilizer company, the construction of a modern market and a boat landing stage in Idenau to make life better for the inhabitants.
WCPDM president Nganje Marie, explained that Cameroonians have a lot of reasons to be thankful to President Biya, especially for his efforts in maintaining peace, fighting diseases, insecurity and also the appointment of women to positions of substance in his government. She said life is comfortable for them because their chairman has wonderful plans for them, she thus urged everyone to be steadfast and look forward to the future with hope.
The Fako V section president cum mayor of the Idenau Council, Tonde Lifanje Gabriel for his part, chose to give a background of President Biya’s ascension to power, and the development strides that have been achieved within the past thirty two years.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t have enough space to enumerate those glaring developments that give us cause to celebrate President Paul Biya’s thirty-two years’ stay at the Presidency of the Republic, safe by saying that we are proudly Africa in Miniature, as he steers with wisdom our unity in diversity”.
The Central Committee delegate, Hon Emilia Lifaka showered the militants with gifts, and encouraged them to remain loyal to the party and help in the fight against insecurity. The militants who spiced the ceremony with much jubilation, continuously expressed love, loyalty and commitment to the CPDM party.
