According to her interview in La Nouvelle Expression, Aminatou Ahidjo says she was not expecting her appointment.

She said, “we do not expect a decree, so the news of my appointment was a surprise.”

The newspaper further indicates that the daughter of the former President of the Republic, Ahmadou Ahidjo, made emphasis on the paternal relationship that binds her to the Head of State Paul Biya, emphasizing the tensions within her family caused by her decision to join the CPDM.

Aminatou Ahidjo was euphoric following her appointment as President of the Board (PCA) of the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.
