Menoua CPDM Supporters Thank President Biya

Supporters of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) for Menoua Central have thanked the Head of State, President Paul Biya for appointing their son, Jean Nkuete Secretary General of the Central Committee of the party.

The appreciation was contained in an address to supporters of Menoua Central,on August 17 at the Dschang Party House by Minister Jean Pierre Fogui while presiding at a sensitisation and information seminar to educate supporters, on important resolutions taken at the last CPDM congress and its bearings on the live of the party, the reforms on the electoral code and innovations contained in the basic text of the party.

To Minister Jean Pierre Fogui, the appointment of Jean Nkuete is a partnership agreement between President Paul Biya and the people of Menoua Division. He insisted that it should strengthen the notion of political friendship between Menoua Division and President Biya.

He stressed that time has come for supporters to clearly demonstrate their total commitment and resolve to support President Biya and his major accomplishments programme. "We must show our joy by voting 100% in the forthcoming elections" Minister Fogui said.

Meanwhile, Professor Lekene Donfack drilled supporters on some of the major resolutions reached at the last congress of the party; the main onebeing the need to create viable alternatives for young people and women to better their living conditions, the rule of traditional rulers as auxiliaries of the administration and scope for diversification of the economy.

Professor Anaclet Fomethe lectured supporters on the electoral code as defined by law No.2012/2001 of April 19 2012 that gives proximity and improvement to Cameroon electoral system. He explained that the text gives all Cameroonians living at home and abroad the opportunity to vote and defend their civic rights, adding that if the electoral laws are well handed by ELECAM, elections in Cameroon will be fair, free and transparent.

Jean Pierre Fogui lectured supporters on innovations in the basic text of the party that instill much dynamism. Supporters were told to start preparing for registration when the electoral register will be open.
