« I am on the way to Nkambe for a rally after we had a ground-breaking rally in Ndu town on September 15 ». The educationist, grassroots Social Democratic Front, female parliamentary candidate for Donga Mantung Centre in the North West Region, said on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.

Hon. Ngala Esther Ntala goes into the annals of history as the lone SDF female Member of the National Assembly for the eighth legislative period and the only female parliamentarian from the North West Region out of the 20 in the same legislative period. With dexterity, she chaired the Social and Cultural Affairs Committee of the National Assembly.

As one of the two SDF candidates for the Donga Mantung Centre Constituency, she is criss-crossing the rough topography just to confirm to voters that she is once more ready to serve them. She remains in song in the constituency for her commitment to local development, even when she headed the Wimbum Women Association in Bamenda. This was preparing her for a great political career.

In a region where women hardly sail through in politics, except appointed by their parties, Esther Ngala successfully defied men in the primaries both in 2007 and 2013 and the SDF proudly nominated her, expecting victory.
