Rallies of thanks took place in Kouoptamo, Bangourain and Foumban on April 12, 2014.Supporters of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Kouoptamo and Bangourain Subdivisions, as well as Foumban Central Section, have pledged their total support to President Paul Biya for the current peace that reigns in Cameron, based on two pillars, good economic governance and political stability.
The militants also thanked President Biya who is President of the CPDM party for the promotion of democracy, fight against poverty, and social development in Noun Division through government public investment budget in recent years, promising to rally behind him for the success of the "Major Accomplishments" programmes for an emerging Cameroon in 2035.
These words of appreciations were contained in a motion of support addressed to President Paul Biya at the end of a "Thank you and sensitization political rallies", on April 12, 2014 that took Minister Delegate at the Ministry Transport, Mefiro Oumarou, CPDM Noun Divisional campaign team leader for the September 30, 2013 twin municipal and legislative elections, to Kouoptamo, Bangourain and Foumban Central Sections of the CPDM.
The political meetings were aimed at thanking militants of the CPDM for voting the CPDM that won 4 out of 8 Councils (Foumbot, Kouoptamo, Bangourain and Magba) in Noun Division after 23 years in the hands of opposition.
Addressing militants at the three different stops, in Kouoptamo, Bangourain and Foumban, Minister Mefiro condemned in strong terms the writing of baseless petitions against CPDM council executives by some members, to party hierarchy.
He said after winning these councils from the hands of the opposition after 23, it was an opportunity now to see what mutual advantages could be developed for the CPDM party and the population, regretting that just few months after the CPDM won these councils, the militants is already tearing apart.
Minister Mefiro reminded members that when CPDM militants petition CPDM mayors" they are taking on the wrong enemies", and pleaded with them and council executives to bury the hatchets and work for the interest of the party. Over six hundred driver licenses were shared out to beneficiaries, thanks to Minister Mefiro.
