Fifteen members of the Popular Action Party’s newly elected Yaounde V Executive Bureau have been commissioned and challenged to seize the Yaounde V council from the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in the next municipal elections.

The new team led by former CPDM Lekie North Communication Secretary, Eneli Essaga, was installed by PAP’s Secretary General, Akosun Raymond and the National Secretary for Organisation, Njang Denis, in the presence of PAP’s Chairman, Ayah Paul Abine.

Njang Denis told Cameroon Tribune that one of the strengths of the Yaounde V Exco is its cosmopolitan configuration as it includes Cameroonians from all horizons, including the Deputy President, Mrs. Mercy Waji, who had resigned from the Social Democratic Front (SDF).

He said the party was gathering steam in the Mfoundi Division as preparations intensify for the imminent installation of the Yaounde IV Executive Bureau.
