After last week's public rallies, party officials now embark on door-to-door campaign.
The main opposition party, the Social Democratic Front, SDF in this year's twin elections has taken upon itself to educate its militants on how to vote.
The party officials in Ngoketunjia Division have been criss-crossing the villages in Ndop, Balikumbat and Babessi Subdivisions to educate the population on how to vote and who to vote come September 30. At each stop the party officials demonstrated on the voting procedures emphasizing that the militants should make sure they vote twice before leaving the polling booth.
They are equally calling their militants to ensure that their votes are protected. In the words of Mohnkong Sidiki, "after voting to ensure that you protect your vote from vultures." In one of their rallies in Bambalang Saturday September 21 the SDF Electoral District Chairman for Ndop Mohnkong Sidiki called on party supporters to stand by the SDF despite all odds.
He said the time has come for the people of Ngoketunjia to send the CPDM away that has destroyed Cameroon. He told the militants that it is only the SDF that can bring them meaningful change adding that it is only through the SDF that the population of Ngoketunjia can feel the warmth of a parliamentarian and that of a development oriented mayor.
For the SDF list leader for Ndop Council, Mfuh Cuba Mero upon their coming into office, they will carry out people oriented developmental projects that will touch the lives of the majority. For her the SDF will provide portable water, extend electricity, open many more farm to market roads amongst others.
Sunday September 22 saw the SDF officials in Ndop calling for a vote of conciseness in the party's efforts to win the Ndop council and the parliamentary seat for Ngoketunjia North come September 30. After the village to village campaigns the party officials will during this week embarked on a door-to-door campaign.
