After several incognitos that occurred during the renewal of the offices in the CPDM, some militants of the ruling party have joined the ranks of the SDF, MRC and ADD.
Following the Circular No 001/RDPC/PN of July 27, 2015, from Paul Biya, National President of the CPDM, militants were committed to taking into account the social, moral and political requirements that form the “core of their vision.”
The CPDM section of the Dja and Lobo 1 in Sangmélima is subject to the discontent of some militants who believe that Paul Biya is no longer respected “even at home.”
For them, belonging to the ruling party was motivated by the same person who is the national chairman of the party, according to Le Soir newspaper on Friday, November 27, 2015.
“We are in the CPDM because of Biya and not because of others. We do not understand why some of his former employees and those originating from Meyonmessala behave this way," one of them lamented.
“We all remembered what Mrs Madeleine Tchuinté imposed on the outgoing president, David Mengue Ela, to deliver many membership cards to Essian André Noel so that the latter could distribute them without going through the official channels of the party. This parallel distribution continued even during the elections, so much so that today, the party has no political background and worse: no one knows how many militants are present in our party," said the latter, adding that it is in this vagueness that a former S.D.O, former governor and former Minister of Territorial Administration launched the election.
The newspaper reported that Essian's case was sent to the Higher State Control, but by now this “special jurisdiction is slow to prosecute the implicated.”
In 2013 at Meyomessala, the list managed by Essian André Noel gave 100% in favor of the CPDM. Also the newspaper stated that 810 people voted while, according to ELECAM, only 310 people from all political parties were in a position to vote.
1222 militants also voted for the CPDM in Nlob-Alouna while ELECAM recognized 435 militants from all parties combined. This excessive use of corruption is the reason why certain militants of the CPDM think their power is not from the people but from elsewhere.
