The Boko Haram sect promotes violence and terror in the northeast of Nigeria since 2009. Now ramifications of this threat are noticeable in neighbouring countries: Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Benin.
In this regard, all the observatories of international security are unanimous. The regionalization of the threat of the terrorist sect Boko Haram is inevitable for neighbouring countries to Nigeria if nothing is done.
The report of the Secretary-General on Central Africa at the UN highlights the regional implications of the activities of the jihadist Group on Cameroon. The said text clarified that one cannot exclude them on the Central African Republic and Chad.
That is why all departments in charge of Foreign Affairs or international relations of Western countries and especially of the European Union are formal. "We must be very vigilant. We are facing a threat that is regionalised and that can take another dimension."
For its part, the Union of the peoples of Cameroon (UPC), called for peace, unity and especially solidarity. They believed that these values are a solution for not losing ground in the face of adversity.
In other words, Cameroon must join forces to face the shade terrorist and obscurantist of Boko Haram, which has extended its tentacles for several years already, beyond its stronghold in northeastern Nigeria to cross its borders.
UPC prayed for peace in the country and also the serenity of the party. President Victor Onana believe that UPC can actually afford the luxury of an energy dispersive or pointless quarrels. It calls all activists and supporters to resolutely work to ensure that this of re-foundation begins.
