The Fon of Nso requested for the construction of a mosque in the late 1960s/early' 70s. I recall this and have pic of the dad of this with my dad around 1971/72, when plot was allocated by the fon for a mosque to be constructed then. The mosque is not out of the blues, but his islamic practice going public. There have always been a strong relationship between Nso, fulani and hausas before the missionaries established their mission after the defeat of Nso in 1907. I believe it will not come to mass convertion by instruction of the Fon,and his social life will change as he will not drink MILU as before.
