  Glad to read of the enthronement of the fifth chief of Mfaitok 1, in Nkockenock 1 clan in Upper Banyang subdivision after the last one on 1934. A lot of information about the enthronement is true especially of the precedence of Rotation by Quarters and then family lineages. The tussle has dragged from 2002 to Dec. 2015 be cause the family of the late chief in view of his 66 years on the, wanted to transform the stool to a heredity though the late chief had pointed a finger to quarter to produce the next successor chief. The more reason why a zealous son of the late chief had manoeuvred a couple of hungry elders to traditionally crown him in 2003 even without official consultative talks to designate him. Thank God administration stepped in and put sanity in the chieftaincy institution of Mfaitok 1 village following backing documents from Buea archives made available by resource persons of Bereip quarter especially, the Dec. 23, 1930 doc on the genealogical table of Nkockenok 1 clan by E.H. Georges and that of Residen G.H. Findlay appointing District Headmen and quarter-heads in Mamfe Division, Cameroon Province dated 13 Dec. 1934. This son tried at all cost to falsify a name to favor him but no avail. That said, the installation proper took place on April 03, 2016 and NOT the date on your magazine. Thanks for exposing the new chief of Mfaitok 1 colorfully enthroned to the whole world to erase all falsely popularized chiefs in some neighborhoods in Cameroon. So far so good the chieftain duel in Mfaitok 1 village has received a lasting burial.
