KRIBI BEACH

This beach is normally called ‘The Cameroon Cote D’Azur’ because of its grey-sandy beaches. Kribi gives a pleasant view with the Equatorial Forest Vegetation as a refreshing addition to its surroundings.
In the south of the town, the sight of the beach is unique with the Lobe River pouring its beautiful waterfalls into the Atlantic Ocean.
Eboundja and Ebodje are the two very distinctive fishing villages you may come across when travelling past the Lobe River. A visit to this place is tagged ‘a pirogue trip’. Arrangement can be made to meet pygmies in the forest.
In terms of tourism, Kribi is ranked as one of the important seaside cities. Its sandy beaches and golden wonderful Lobe Falls make it unique from the others. Kribi could pass as one of the extraordinary and unusual beaches in the world!
With a river rushing at sea by torrents and ‘Pygmy villages’ buried in the surrounding forest; there’s no argument against its exaggerated name as the ‘Riviera coast of Cameroon’.
The tourists, who visit the Kribi Beach for the first time after discovering all these resources, usually leave the country in reluctance as they wish to stay much longer.
